I found with the change in the seasons that my skin undergoes a change as well. I have a pretty consistent skin care routine and stick to it, but lately my skin has NOT been having it. No matter how much I was moisturizing day and night, my makeup wasn’t going on smoothly, and icky, dry splotches were appearing on my cheeks, forehead, and chin. So not cute. I thought maybe I needed to switch up my moisturizer, primer, or foundation routine because my skin had gotten used to it.
I headed to my local Sephora, described the weirdness that was going on with my face and they told me I probably wasn’t exfoliating enough. Who knew! I dry brush and exfoliate my body on a regular basis, but never thought of doing it to my face. Below are a few products that I’m using or want to try to get my skin back in good shape.
I love Murad and I’ve been using this peel for a couple weeks now. Not only is it easy to use, I’ve noticed a marked improvement in the consistency of my skin texture after I’ve used it. I end up using this about 3-4 times a week.
I am really excited to try this one because everything made by Boscia I have LOVED (I am currently obsessed with their Make-Up Break-Up Cleansing Oil. If you haven’t tried it, it’s awesome). I like the idea of a powder so that by adding more or less water you can change the level of exfoliation. Excited to try it.
I love facial masks. I have various ones (such as the above Murad one) that I use every week. I am always looking for products to add or switch into my routine, and this one is going on the list. This. Product. Is. Awesome. If you were to try one thing off this list, I’d advise this one. Not only does it come perfectly packaged for individual uses (great for travel!), it is one of the most immediately effective products I have ever used. The only thing I don’t love about this is the price point. Its a little on the ‘spency side, but its effectiveness might make up for it.
Alright, when your trying to add more exfoliation into the mix, might as well add it into your cleansing routine as well. This cleanser is on my “Next to Purchase” list after I run out of my First Aid Beauty cleanser.
What are your go-to exfoliators? Let me know!
